YMCA to host Community Day for free

The Smith Family YMCA will host a free Community Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at its Joliet location, 1350 S. Briggs St.
Residents looking to learn more about the Y’s programs and services are invited to attend this free, family-friendly event.
Festivities include facility tours and open-gym activities. Guests can exercise in the wellness center and swim in the pool.
Residents who join the Y through Monday will pay no joiner’s fee — a savings of up to $120. Visitors under 18 must be signed in by a parent or guardian.
As one of the nation’s leading nonprofits, the Y is committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Families turn to the Y for before- and after-school programs, summer camps, youth sports, group fitness classes and swim lessons. At the Y, no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay.
