Incoming freshmen registering in Morris

MORRIS — Class registration for the 2012-13 school year is under way.

Incoming freshmen will be invited to presentations on Feb. 15 and 16. Students from Shabbona will attend Feb. 15 and students from ICS, Saratoga, and Nettle Creek will attend Feb. 16.

The presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Morris High School auditorium.

Church preschool taking registrations

NEW LENOX — Kids and Company Preschool, a ministry of the United Methodist Church of New Lenox, is accepting registration for the 2012-13 school year.

Registrations will be accepted through Feb. 10 for kids ages 2½ to 5 years old. Call 815-485-9504.

Immaculate Conception sets open house

MORRIS — Immaculate Conception School will hold an open house for parents interested in learning about the preschool programs for 3- and 4-year-old students at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 23 in the preschool classroom.

Families may park in the lot west of the school and enter at the door by the school office.

Teachers will present an overview of the preschool curriculum. Tuition costs, financial aid possibilities and the registration procedure will also be outlined.

Park district preschool registration open

JOLIET — Joliet Park District Sunshine and Rainbows Learning Center 2012-13 registration is open at the Multi-Purpose Center, 3000 W. Jefferson St.

Sunshine and Rainbows is an extension of early learners of the district.

All in-person registration is completed at the Multi-Purpose Center. At registration, parents must bring proof of residency (current utility bill or RDC); a copy of a county-recorded birth certificate; and credit or debit card information for the automatic monthly electronic funds transfer, unless payment is made in full at the time of registration.

A full-month (non-refundable, non-transferable) deposit is required at the time of registration.
