Church hosting summit

JOLIET — Cafree Freedom will present Healing and Deliverance Summit 2012 with the theme of Desperate for Jesus: Exchange Hurt for Healing.

This free event will be at 6 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ Temple Church, 212 E. Richards St.

Soul food breakfast on tap

JOLIET — The St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund Committee will sponsor a Soul Food Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, 337 S. Ottawa St. Tickets cost $10.

Bishop celebrating Mass

PLAINFIELD — Joliet Bishop R. Daniel Conlon will celebrate the 4 p.m. Saturday Mass in St. Mary Immaculate Parish Church, at 15629 S. Route 59. An informal reception will follow in Cana Hall. The parish will present a statue of St. Francis Xavier to Conlon.

Church to host healing service

PLAINFIELD — At 1:30 p.m. Feb. 5, St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 S. Route 59, will hold a healing prayer service. After a short scripture reading and prayer, each individual will be offered the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. Call 815-436-2651 or visit www.smip.org.

LOCKPORT — Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 18101 W. Oak St., will host its Family and Friends Day at 10 a.m. Sunday with Pastor Richard D. House. The public is invited.

Tamale sale scheduled at church

PLAINFIELD — The Knights of Columbus Good Shepherd Council 5573 will serve tamales from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at St. Mary Immaculate Parish Gym, 15629 S. Route 59.
