Two men arrested after fight at Joliet campus

JOLIET — Two men were arrested after a fight Sunday night at Joliet Job Corps.
Chief Mike Trafton said officers were called at 9:22 p.m. to the campus at 1101 Mills Road where several students were fighting.
“While a security guard was breaking up the fight, Nathaniel L. Butler-Bey, 18, headbutted him and split his lip,” Trafton said.
Butler-Bey, was charged with aggravated battery and booked into the county jail.
Antwone Richardson, 20, of 2143 Best Place in Aurora, was charged with assault and released on bond.
Charity gift shop burglarized
NEW LENOX — A gift shop that benefits disabled services was burglarized Friday.
On Saturday morning, a staffer at Petals & Twigs, 427 W. Francis Road, discovered cash and checks had been taken from the business after closing the night before.
Petals & Twigs supports Trinity Services, which assists people with mental and physical disabilities.
No suspect information was available.
“There were no signs of forced entry and no tracks in the fresh snow,” Deputy Chief Robert Pawlisz said.
Coal City trailer home burns
COAL CITY — Fire destroyed a trailer home Sunday afternoon.
The blaze was reported around 2:15 p.m. at 65 N. Fifth Ave.
Residents escaped without injury, but one of their three cats perished in the fire.
“The home is a total loss and there was some damage to the siding of the adjacent garage,” Chief Harold Holsinger said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but does not appear suspicious.

Krystal C. James: 24, of 3846 W. Grand Ave. in Chicago, and Timothy R. Pisarczyk: 26, of 7419 Inverness Lane in Frankfort, were arrested by Mokena police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of aggravated battery.
Charles A. Evans: 32, of 14101 S. School St. in Riverdale, was arrested by Steger police and booked into the county jail Monday on a charge of narcotics possession.
Antonio M. Hernandez: 24, of 515 Preston Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested by state police and booked into the county jail Monday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Courtney B. Norris: 31, of 2213 Basswood Road in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Monday on charges of aggravated battery and assault.
Colin A. Kemp: 28, of 23825 S. Hickory Lane in Minooka, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Monday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
