BOLINGBROOK — A man accused of sexually abusing a girl here in April is expected to be extradited to California to face similar charges.

The Department of Children and Family Services told police April 12 that Sergio Hernandez-Navarro, 54, had sex with a 12-year-old relative.

The victim and her mother met with detectives later that day, reports said.

Hernandez-Navarro was taken into custody Tuesday at 606 Preston Drive.

“(At the department,) a police officer from Tustin, Calif., interviewed him in reference to a criminal sexual abuse case in their town,” Lt. Mike Rompa said.

Hernandez-Navarro appeared in court Wednesday for an extradition hearing, reports said.

Robber claims to be cop

JOLIET — A man claimed to be a police officer before committing a robbery Wednesday night.

The stick-up happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 700 block of West Marion Street.

A black man approached the victim and said he was a police officer before he took out a handgun and demanded money. The victim was not injured, and the bandit fled in a gray Ford Taurus.

Raymond R. Sanderson: 48, of 321 N. Roberts Drive in Godley, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Tuesday on a charge of possession of narcotics with intent to deliver.

Phyllix M. Wynn: 37, of 4542 S. Lamon Ave. in Chicago, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Tuesday on a charge of driving on a suspended license.

Michael J. Galderio: 27, of 885 N. Marshfield Ave. in Chicago, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Tuesday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rahman Stevenson: 18, of 10700 S. Vernon Ave. in Chicago, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Tuesday on a charge of identity theft.

David A. Reed: 37, of 7134 S. Green St. in Chicago, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Tuesday on a charge of participating in a continuing financial crimes enterprise.

Jose A. Campos: 21, of 1408 Woodruff Road in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Tuesday on charges of driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Pedro Gaspar: 24, of 511 Landau Ave. in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Tuesday on a charge of criminal sexual assault.

Deiango R. Sain: 36, of 731 Burnham Drive in University Park, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Tuesday on a charge of driving on a suspended license.

Anthony Y. Park: 17, of 2872 Stonewater Drive in Naperville, was arrested by Naperville police and booked into the county jail Tuesday on a charge of narcotics possession.
