School chief hosting coffee

PLAINFIELD — The third and final Community Coffee with the Superintendent will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Plainfield School District office, 15732 Howard St.

The community is invited and encouraged to come and chat with the Superintendent John Harper, key staff members and school board members.

The coffee is free.Refreshments will be served.

Plant staff fills
We Care pantry

MORRIS — On Jan. 27, LlyondellBasell employees filled We Care’s pantry.

Each year, during their Global Day of Caring, the Morris plant conducts a fund drive to collect money to donate to We Care. They collected enough donations to fill the pantry four times in 2012.

For this delivery, the employees donated $650 and were willing to commit at least 10 volunteers to help unload 5,530 pounds of food ordered from the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Upcoming sponsors include Walmart, the family and friends of Robyn White and New Community Christian Church.
