JOLIET — The owners of Mojoes in downtown Joliet have pleaded not guilty to three of the four liquor code violations charged against the club after a fight broke out during a New Year’s Eve party.
The city’s liquor commission will hold a hearing on the charges at 9 a.m. Feb. 15.
Mojoes pleaded not guilty to charges that it sold liquor to minors, allowed minors on the premises and obstructed Joliet police officers investigating the incident.
The owners pleaded guilty to a charge that people who created the disturbance were allowed into the club.
Mojoes also faces charges of liquor code violations stemming from a Jan. 15 fight and stabbing. The owners will enter pleas on those charges Feb. 15.
The club’s liquor license was suspended for seven days after each incident.
