Citizen’s Police Academy begins March 14
MORRIS — The Morris Police Department is looking for people interested in participating in the 2012 Morris Police Citizen’s Police Academy.
The academy will start March 14. Deadline to apply is March 2.
The academy consists of a series of seven evening classes.
Anyone who is at least 18 years old and has some affiliation with the city of Morris may attend. Contact Deputy Chief Harvey Van Cleave at 815-942-2131.

Public meetings
Saturday, Feb. 27
CHANNAHON — Two public information meetings will be held regarding the electrical aggregation referendum on the March 20 ballot.
Representatives from the Will County Governmental League will answer questions about the proposal.
Meetings will be at 9 a.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Feb. 27, both in the village hall board room. Further details are on the village’s website, at www.channahon.org.
