Romeoville bank robbed

ROMEOVILLE — A man claiming to have a gun robbed a bank Thursday afternoon.
The robbery occurred just before 2:20 p.m. at PNC Bank, 495 N. Weber Road.
“The suspect presented a note, which stated he had a gun and also contained a demand for money, (but) a gun was not displayed,” Assistant Chief Steve Lucchesi said.
After taking cash, the man ran south from the bank while employees called 911.
The suspect was described as a white man in his 20s with short black hair. He was approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighed 175 pounds.
