Medical clinic benefit
JOLIET — A benefit for the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic will start at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 100 S. 129th Infantry Drive.
Band X with Mary Pfeifer will perform music from the 1950s and 1960s from 7 to 10 p.m.
The $25 entrance fee covers meal and entertainment. There will be a cash bar.

All-Star Saturday set
JOLIET — Central City YMCA will hold its All-Star Saturday on Saturday at Joliet Central High School, 201 E. Jefferson St.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
The event will feature Quick Shot Contests, Hot Spot Contests, Cheerleading Competition and a Skills Challenge.
Each child may participate in one event. Participants are admitted free.
For nonparticipants, admission costs $1 for ages 13 and older.
Vehicle donation
The New Lenox Fire Protection District is looking for junk vehicles, cars, trucks, or vans, no matter what condition, to utilize for extrication training and other skills. The cars need to have a title to be donated. The vehicles could be a tax deduction.
