State Rep. McAsey holding poster contest for junior high students

ROMEOVILLE, — State Rep. Emily McAsey, D-Lockport, invites all local junior high students to participate in her annual poster contest.
The contest provides an opportunity for students to express creatively why they love the “Land of Lincoln.”
The contest is open to students in sixth through eighth grades. Posters should be no larger than 11 by 17 inches and should reflect the theme of “Why I Love the Land of Lincoln.”
Winners will be chosen by members of McAsey’s Education Advisory Committee who will select one winning poster from the district and one winner from each school.
The districtwide winner will be invited to spend a day in Springfield serving as an honorary page for the Illinois House of Representatives. Posters are due to McAsey’s office, 416 N. Weber Road in Romeoville, no later than Friday.
