Cheaper prescriptions
JOLIET — Will County Center for Community Concerns will offer free prescription discount cards to Will County residents.
The Valued Pharmacy Services Free Rx Discount Card allows those who can’t afford the full complement of doctor-prescribed medications to buy them from participating pharmacies at reduced prices.
There are no income eligibility requirements. For a free card, visit the center at 304 N. Scott St.
Senior volunteer search
The Home Instead Senior Care offices announced the Salute to Senior Service program to honor senior volunteers.
The program will search for the most outstanding senior volunteer in each state and culminate with the selection of a national winner in May.
Nominees must be 65 or older and volunteer at least 15 hours a month. Nominations will be accepted through March 15 at www.SalutetoSeniorService.com.
