Joliet crash temporarily closes I-55

JOLIET — A crash late Tuesday night temporarily closed lanes on Interstate 55 as firefighters and police worked the scene in the southbound lanes just north of Route 52.
The southbound lanes were completely closed as of 10:50 p.m. In the northbound lanes, drivers were allowed to use the shoulder to get past the emergency vehicles.
Responding agencies included the Joliet, Troy and Plainfield fire departments.
