Updated: March 18, 2012 8:07AM

NEW LENOX — Young athletes have a chance to learn from the pros. Dwyane Wade and Devin Hester are each offering day camps June 29 and 30 in New Lenox.

“Last year, 700 kids were out there and we anticipate even more this year,” said Mayor Tim Baldermann at the village board meeting Monday.

The Dwyane Wade Skills Academy runs from 12:15 to 4 p.m. both days for girls and boys ages 7 to 18. The Devin Hester Football Camp is from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. both days for girls and boys ages 7 to 14.

The cost for either camp is $149.

Both camps will be at Lincoln-Way Central High School. Each camper will receive a T-shirt and an autographed camp team photo by Wade or Hester.

Both camps include daily games and competitions. Wade and Hester will offer daily talks about the finer points of their individual sports, according to the procamps.com.
