CREST HILL — A boil order issued Thursday afternoon for some city residents has been lifted.
Water samples taken Friday afternoon were tested and deemed safe to drink, village officials said.
The order had been issued after a water main break resulted in a drop in water pressure. It had affected water customers in the area south of Caton Farm Road and west of Arbor Lane, excluding Richland School.
For more information, call the water operator at 815-954-7458 or the city water department at 815-723-8671.
