JOLIET TOWNSHIP — Robble, Robble. Now he’s got tools.

A Will County Sheriff’s deputy was called Feb. 13 to the 100 block of Anderson Avenue after a garage was forced open.

Four saws, a drill, an impact wrench and a screwdriver were stolen.

The thief or thieves also grabbed a case of Mike’s Hard Cranberry liquor, 10 frozen beef steaks and 10 pounds of hamburger.

He’ll end up paying a lot for that muffler

BOLINGBROOK — There’s nothing like a loud car to attract police attention.

And when the officer comes close enough to “detect a strong odor of cannabis emitting from the vehicle,” it results in more scrutiny.

Lt. Mike Rompa said an officer on patrol Friday noticed a green 1996 Honda with a loud muffler around 9:30 p.m. at Weber Road and Remington Boulevard.

The officer reportedly smelled pot while preparing to ticket driver George G. Robles, 20, for the muffler and called a canine unit to the scene.

The dog allegedly led to the discovery of more than 41 grams of pot inside the center console.

Robles, of 310 Woodcreek Drive, and his passenger Jose M. Torres, 18, of 136 N. Lancaster Drive, were booked into the county jail on charges of cannabis possession. The noisy car was impounded.
