Troy shredding event to be April 21

SHOREWOOD — Troy Township Supervisor Joseph Baltz and Township Trustees Larry Ryan, John Theobald, Donald Walden and Brett Wheeler announced that Troy Township will host its semiannual shredding event from 9 to 11 a.m. April 21 at 25448 Seil Road.
Township residents can take their personal papers and documents to be shredded by ShredX. Each resident must show proof of residency and is allowed to have two letter-size file or copy paper boxes shredded.
Troy Township also partnered with the Shorewood Police Department to collect unneeded or expired medication.

Hearing screenings
BOLINGBROOK — The Bolingbrook Lions will sponsor hearing screenings from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Fountaindale Library, 300 W. Briarcliff Road.
The screening is for ages 18 and older and ages 10-17 with parental consent.
