JOLIET — Will County Clerk Nancy Schultz Voots announced that at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Will County clerk’s office a lottery will be held to determine the order in which the major political parties will appear on the Nov. 6 General Election ballot in Will County.
The chairmen of the major political parties have been notified.

Railroad crossing repairs
to begin April 30
LOCKPORT — Repairs of the Ninth Street railroad at grade crossing have been scheduled for April 30 through May 4.
A complete road closure of Ninth Street will be required for the duration of the project.
A detour route will be posted directing motorists to Route 171 and New Avenue to the east, 135th Street to the north and Route 53 to the west. Road closure signs will be posted two weeks before the
project.
