historic Route 66

JOLIET —The annual Red Carpet Corridor Festival on Route 66 will be May 5-6.

Visitors are invited to experience and explore 90 miles of family fun, hospitality and adventure on Route 66.

The corridor consists of all the communities on historic Route 66 between the Visitor Center in Joliet and south to Towanda.

Each town will provide a special free, “Key To The City.” Be sure to collect all 13.

Meeting for seniors
Thursday

NEW LENOX — Manhattan-New Lenox TRIAD invites ages 50 and older to a meting at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the New Lenox Village Hall, 1 Veterans Parkway.

Will County Sheriff Paul Kaupas will speak about Will County TRIAD and the benefits of the program for seniors in the area.

Michele Batara of Crisis Line in Joliet also will speak.
