Updated: May 21, 2012 8:16AM

BOLINGBROOK — Aw mom.

A family dispute reportedly got police involved April 9 when a woman called 911 claiming her son had held a gun to her head at a store parking lot.

Officers would later determine the 19-year-old man was not armed and a 71-year-old man was “alarmed and disturbed” by the alleged behavior of Lorraine Jackson, 47.

After receiving the 911 call at 2:50 a.m., officers went to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Road, and met with Jackson.

“(She) was irate and alleged her son put a gun up to her temple (so) police then stopped a white Toyota leaving the parking lot, occupied by two men, but upon further investigation it was concluded the incident was falsely reported,” Lt. Mike Rompa said.

Jackson was arrested on two counts of disorderly conduct.

LOCKPORT — By any other name?

On March 2, police were called to the parking lot of Jewel after a man began “throwing things around and acting as if he were intoxicated.”

“He then leaned against the wall and fell asleep while he was standing,” police said.

According to reports, employees said the man had stolen a rose and a six-pack of beer from Jewel and then urinated in some bushes outside.

Police did not identify the suspect, but arrested him on a charge of shoplifting, reports said.
