Plainfield chorus sets performance

PLAINFIELD — The Plainfield Area Community Chorus will share popular patriotic favorites as well as few contemporary pieces at its concert at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Plainfield Congregational United Church of Christ, 24020 W. Fraser Road.
The concert will feature the Thomas Jefferson Elementary School Choir under the direction of Karen Blair.
Jason Dornink leads the Plainfield Area Community Chorus, 15 voices strong, in his second season as artistic director. Accompanying the group is Tim Stacy.
Over its 12-year history, the non-audition group has performed music that is well known, such as pop songs and show tunes, and has brought delight to audiences all over the area.
Tickets cost $5 in advance and $7 at the door. In addition, there will be a reception following the concert.
