Joliet mulls tobacco licensing

JOLIET — The city is concerned about the use of tobacco products by minors and the general public health of its residents. A survey of Illinois communities found that many of them require some type of license to sell tobacco products.

The city is proposing a new tobacco dealers license.

Information regarding this proposed license will be presented from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Joliet Police Department’s Community Room, 150 W. Washington St.
