PLAINFIELD — The Plainfield School District is shuffling several principals to different elementary schools next fall.
Beth Wackerlin, principal of Charles Reed Elementary School, is resigning at the end of the school year. She will be replaced by Curtis Hudson, who is currently principal at Freedom Elementary School.
Lincoln Elementary School Principal Kelley Gallt will replace Hudson at Freedom, and Casey Hartman, assistant principal at Walker’s Grove Elementary School, will become principal at Hudson.
Hudson opened Freedom Elementary School in 2007 as its first principal. Before joining the Plainfield School District, he worked eight years as a school administrator and nine years as a physical education teacher in West Aurora.
Gallt started her education career in 1996 as an elementary school teacher, and has been Lincoln’s assistant principal since July 2006.
Hartman started his career in 2002 at Kaneland Middle School in Maple Park, and taught fifth grade at Prairie Elementary School in Naperville from 2003 to 2008.
He joined the Plainfield School District in 2008 as the first assistant principal at Eichelberger Elementary School.
