The New Lenox Fire Protection District and Chili’s Grill & Bar are holding a fundraiser for the fire district’s new search and rescue dog, Red, through May 3.
Red, who was “sworn in” on April 24, needs continued training and equipment.
Patrons of Chili’s who wish to support the fundraiser can get vouchers from any of the four New Lenox fire stations or print them from the Facebook pages of the New Lenox Fire Foundation or New Lenox Fire District. With the vouchers, 10 percent of the restaurant bill will be donated back to Red, who will attend a meet and greet from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 3 at the Chili’s at 2390 E. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox.
For more information, call the fire district at (815) 463-4500.
