CRETE TOWNSHIP — Um. That’s not how you get in here.
On the evening of April 30, Will County Sheriff’s police were called to the 24200 block of Shady Oaks Trail after a 70-year-old man discovered his residence had been burglarized.
According to reports, deputies found a broken baseball bat beneath a shattered window and determined liquor had been stolen from the house.
Police interviewed neighbors and discovered a couple had given a ride to Bozica Niksich, 39, from near the burglarized residence earlier that day.
When deputies traced Niksich to 24207 Walden Lane, she allegedly admitted going to the victim’s house to retrieve some belongings and got in “through the window.”
“During the interview, Niksich stated she broke the window and stole some food and two bottles of wine. Niksich (said) she felt she had permission to enter (the 70-year-old man’s house) without permission because they have an intimate relationship,” reports said.
