LOCKPORT — Police say a man who fooled people April 1 went too far the next day.
On April 1, Cedric King, 45, came into Wal-Mart, 16241 S. Farrell Road, to cash what appeared to be a check issued by a staffing company, Lt. Dave Draksler said.
While King reportedly took nearly $800, employees determined the check was fraudulent and were surprised the next afternoon when he returned with another check.
“They recognized him while he was standing in line and called police as he attempted to cash another,” Draksler said. King, of 413 Dellwood, was arrested on fraud charges.
