Dedication Sunday for Plainfield fire HQ

PLAINFIELD — From 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, the public is invited to the dedication of the Plainfield Fire Protection District Headquarters Campus, 23748 W. 135th St.
Speakers will include Col. Richard Jaehne, director of the Illinois Fire Services Institute, and Larry Matkaitis, Illinois State fire marshal.
The Life Star medical helicopter will visit. There will be giveaways and light refreshments.

State Rep. McAsey hosting town halls
State Rep. Emily McAsey, D-Lockport, will hold town hall meetings throughout the district.
6 p.m. Monday at Romeoville Village Hall, 1050 W. Romeo Road.
6 p.m. Wednesday at Crest Hill City Hall, 1610 Plainfield Road.
6 p.m. Thursday at Lockport City Hall, 222 E. Ninth St.
6 p.m. July 2 Bolingbrook Town Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Road.
