JOLIET — Looking for something fun to do this Father’s Day?
Route 66 Night at Silver Cross Field is going to have it all: classic cars, classic rock and America’s national pastime.
The Joliet Slammers, in partnership with Greg’s Body Shop, will present a Rock & Roll Car & Bike Show before the 5:05 p.m. game Sunday.
After the game, kids get to run the bases, get autographs from the players and play catch with their dad on the field.
The Fender Benders will perform classic tunes before the game on Mayor Art Schultz Drive. All the fun begins at 3 p.m.
The Rock & Roll Car & Bike Show is free to attend and tickets to the Slammers game start at only $5.
Fans can purchase tickets for Sunday’s game and all home games by calling 815-722-2287 or stopping by the Slammers’ box office.
People who have a classic car or motorcycle they would like to display at the show should call Greg Bucciarelli of Greg’s Body Shop at 815-685-7855.
It costs $10 to register your car or bike for the show.
All proceeds will be donated to Wish Upon a Star.
Sunday’s game is also a Senior Sunday, so all fans 55 and older can get a reserved seat for half off at the box office.
