Man found dead hanging from tree near Plainfield

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP - A 40-year-old Wilmington man was found dead in a wooded area Thursday afternoon.
The Will County Coroner’s office reported David M. Herman had been reporting missing June 11.
A Wilmington detective following leads on the disappearance found Herman’s body hanging from a tree near northbound Interstate 55 and Route 126.
“The death is being investigated by state police as an apparent suicide,” a deputy coroner said.
