Blood drive to be Saturday

NEW LENOX — The village of New Lenox will sponsor a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the village hall community room, 1 Veteran’s Parkway.
Donors will receive a free Culver’s Deluxe Butter Burger and a Parrot Head T-shirt. Walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be scheduled by calling the village hall at 815-462-6400. Photo ID is required.
Movie in the park
PLAINFIELD — “Rio” will be shown as part of the 2012 Movie Series, presented by BMO Harris Bank, at 8 p.m. July 13 in Settlers’ Park, southeast of the intersection of Lockport Street and Van Dyke Road.
Parking is available in the village hall parking lot, on Village Center Drive and on Van Dyke Road.
Concessions will be available for sale, and the proceeds will benefit the movies in the park.
