Updated: August 16, 2012 6:05AM

NEW LENOX — The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that a project to replace the high-mast lighting system at the Interstate 80 interchange with Route 30 will begin Monday.

The project will require intermittent shoulder closures on both I-80 and Route 30.

The tentative completion date is summer 2013.

John Burns Construction Co. of Orland Park is the prime contractor on the $4.4 million project.

Inmate visitation changes

JOLIET — Beginning July 23, the Will County sheriff’s office will make changes that will affect those looking to visit an inmate at the Video Visitation center.

All visitors must bring a valid ID with current address on it. If you do not have a valid ID, you will not be able to conduct your visit.

Visitors must arrive at least 30 minutes before a scheduled visit to allow the staff enough time to update your information.
