Center offers energy assistance

JOLIET — The Will County Center for Community Concerns will offer a LIHEAP Summer Energy Assistance Program to income-eligible residents of Will County who have active service with ComEd.

The program will run through July 27 or until funds have been exhausted.

Applications will be taken from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays or until the sign-up sheet is full at the center, 304 N. Scott St.

Fashion show set

JOLIET — Models are scheduled to show off new fashion Wednesday at Al’s Steakhouse, 1990 W. Jefferson St.

Longtime cable TV talk show host Diana Stonitsch is organizing the The Ministry of Fashion show, scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The public is invited.

Blood drive Aug. 4

MINOOKA — The Knights of Columbus will sponsor a blood drive from 7:30 a.m. to noon Aug. 4 at Minooka Junior High.

Appointment times are available. Call John at 815-521-1970 to make one or for information. Walk ins are welcome but appointments are preferred.

Heartland Blood Centers will give away a gift card for Oberweiss.
