Kendall County man charged with sexual assault of 5-year-old girl

A Kendall County man is facing felony charges for having sexual contact with a 5-year-old girl, police said.
On Nov. 19, 2011, the mother of a 5-year-old girl reported to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office that her daughter had been sexually assaulted.
Kendall County detectives determined Thomas Haring, 26, of the 17000 block of Frazier Road, near Plano, had assaulted the victim while he was babysitting her, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday. Haring was a friend of the victim’s mother and was babysitting the girl at his home when the assault occurred, police said.
Haring was arrested in Chicago on July 10 and taken to the Kendall County Jail. He posted bond the next day, police said.
Police did not release more information about the assault.
