Blood drive to be Thursday in Lockport

Blood drive

LOCKPORT — A blood drive sponsored by Crest Hill Christian School will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at 21514 W. Division St.

Donors will receive a ticket good for free admission for two to Chicago’s Laugh Factory (restrictions apply).

Donors also are eligible to win a chance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch on Sept. 13, memorabilia, or tickets to a White Sox game and more.

Appointments preferred. Walk-ins welcome. Photo ID required.

Paper shredding

ROMEOVILLE— State Rep. Emily McAsey, D-Lockport, will host the annual Community Shred Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at McAsey’s office, 416 N. Weber Road.

At the free event, residents will be able to observe the secure disposal of up to five boxes of paper documents.
