Earth stewardship workshop planned

JOLIET — C.A.R.E. and Greenpeace will sponsor an earth stewardship workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Senior Suites’ Community Room, 215 N. Ottawa St.
The event is free, and lunch will be provided.
This Community Outreach event requires no special skills and will teach participants how to take control, become informed and get involved.

Biggert to hold job fair
ROMEOVILLE — U.S. Rep. Judy Biggert will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Romeoville Recreation Center, 900 W. Rome Road.
The event is being held with the Illinois Department of Employment Security, the village of Romeoville Veterans Commission and DuPage Township.
The fair will feature more than 80 area employers. Veterans are encouraged to attend tfrom 9 a.m. to noon for workshops specifically designed to teach veterans to successfully market their military skills for job opportunities in the civilian work force.
