Anniversary concert to be on TV

JOLIET — Joliet Community TV will broadcast the 100th anniversary concert of the Joliet Township High School Band at 9 a.m., noon, 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday.
The CD and DVDs of the concert are available for purchase. Order the CD at www.jthsbaa.org/pdf/centennial-concert-cd-order-form.pdf. The DVD form will be posted at www.jthsbaa.org in coming weeks.

Transportation meeting
PLAINFIELD — The village will host the first of three public meetings on Tuesday concerning the update of the village’s Comprehensive Transportation Plan.
The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. in conjunction with MainStreet Plainfield’s weekly car show at the corner of Lockport and Des Plaines streets.
Village staff will be available to discuss the study and to answer questions.
Aging parents seminar
SHOREWOOD — State Rep. Tom Cross and his Senior Advisory Council will host a free seminar, “Family Matters — Planning for Your Aging Parent’s Needs,” from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Road.
