Troy foundation plans fundraiser

Back to School barbecue
SHOREWOOD — The Troy Educational Foundation will host a Back To School barbecue fundraiser 6 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Shorewood Village Hall Band Shelter.
The event is for adults only.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $40 per person at all Troy school buildings or by emailing foundation@troy30c.org. Tickets will be $50 the night of the event.
Participants will enjoy dinner prepared by Duke’s Catering, a complimentary drink and a concert by NoJo. Additional beverages and 50-50 raffle tickets will be available for purchase. For information, visit www.troy30c.org.
Fighting identity theft
FRANKFORT — A free shredding and identity theft event, hosted by Town Center Bank, will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 13 at Aurelio’s Frankfort, 9901 W. Lincoln Highway.
A seminar will be presented by Officer LeAnne Bender of the Frankfort Police Department.
Shred X will destroy documents from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
