to be Oct. 6
JOLIET — The Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be Oct. 6 at Rock Run Forest Preserve. Nearly 850 people area are expected at this year’s event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.
Participants will take part in a three-mile walk. Each walker will also join in a tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Manhattan Labor Day
Parade Sept. 3
MANHATTAN — Manhattan Labor Day Parade will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 3.
If you would like to be in the parade, send in an application by Aug 27.
