Trash pickup to be
delayed due to holiday

JOLIET — All garbage/recycling/yard waste pickup will be one day late next week in observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday.

City Hall also will be closed, Monday.

On Monday, the parking decks will be free of charge and there will be no enforcement of the parking meters.

Power Connection’s
food pantry

BOLINGBROOK — Power Connection’s food pantry now will be open from 1 to 6:45 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 999 Remington Blvd., Suite F.

For a $20 donation guests can shop the aisles of canned/boxed goods, drinks, desserts, snacks, breads, fruits and vegetables. Clients also receive a pre-selected bag of meat.

There is no income verification and all residents of Illinois are welcome.

The Resale Connection is also open from 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. on those Mondays.
