Job fair to be Friday in New Lenox
NEW LENOX — The village of New Lenox will host a free job and resource fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday as part of the annual Sharefest at Village Hall, 1 Veterans Parkway.
There will be more than 20 employers.
Seminars include: 10 a.m., “Making the Most of a Job Fair”; 10:45 a.m., “Preparing for a Career in Manufacturing”; 11:30 a.m., careers in health care; 12:15 p.m., “Using the Internet”; and 1 p.m., “Interview Skills.”

Women’s Health & Wellness Fair
PLAINFIELD — More than 80 area vendors covering a wide range of women’s health, child care, recreational and community services will participate in state Rep. Tom Cross’ Women’s Health & Wellness Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the C.W. Avery YMCA, 15120 Wallin Drive.
Admission is free.
Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Plainfield Interfaith Food Pantry.
