Dental office to hold a free clinic Sept. 13

Updated: September 30, 2012 6:11AM

PLAINFIELD — In the United States, approximately 50 million American citizens are without dental insurance.

As a result, 69 percent of Americans have lost at least one permanent tooth due to tooth decay, periodontal disease or other dental complications.

With so many Americans possessing limited access to quality dental care, even just one free dental treatment could mean a world of difference.

Ahoyt Family Dental in Plainfield will offer a free dental clinic day, sponsored by the national organization Dentistry From The Heart. More than 100 participants are expected to attend.

The free dental clinic day will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at 13717 S. Route 30, Suite 129. Available services will include dental exams, dental cleanings, teeth extractions and cavity fillings.

Beverages, snacks, and entertainment will be provided in front of the dental office.
