Police Blotter: Man arrested in child porn investigation

MANHATTAN — A 41-year-old man was arrested Thursday as part of an ongoing child pornography investigation.
The Will County State’s Attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force allegedly developed information that Carl M. Kummer had accessed child porn online and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Manhattan officers stopped Kummer around 6:30 a.m. near his residence, 140 Trask St., and took him into custody.
He was booked into the county jail on one count of aggravated possession of child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography, cannabis possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Woman hurt falling into ravine
JOLIET — An elderly woman suffered minor injuries when her car went down a 25-foot hill into a ravine Thursday.
The incident happened around 2:20 p.m. at Copperfield Avenue and Hebbard Street when the driver, who reports said was in her 80s, lost control of her gray sedan.
Firefighters were able to remove her from the vehicle using a rope and rescue basket.

Fire damaged a kitchen around 8:40 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 800 block of Cypress Lane in Joliet. One resident and a cat were able to escape without injury, according to reports.

Larry G. Johnson: 55, of 856 E. 150th Place in South Holland, was arrested by Orland Park police and booked into the county jail Thursday on a charge of burglary.
Tommaso J. Incesti: 23, of 17308 92nd Ave. in Tinley Park, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Thursday on charges of narcotics possession and cannabis possession.
