Sunny Hill to host Autumn Fest

JOLIET — To celebrate the arrival of the fall season, Sunny Hill Nursing Home will host an Autumn Fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 28 in the parking lot of the nursing home, 421 Doris Ave.

Festivities will include a farmers market featuring the Midwest Food Co. selling fresh produce, as well as spices, fresh flowers and candy.

Inside at the health fair, Advanced Physicians will offer free massages and Sunny Hill dietitians will share information about healthy eating.

Alzheimer’s walk

JOLIET — The Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be Oct. 6 at Rock Run Forest Preserve. Nearly 850 people area are expected at this year’s event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.

Participants will take part in a three-mile walk. Each walker will also join in a tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
