The Bill Jacobs Auto Group in Joliet and Plainfield announced their support for the local food pantries.
Bill Jacobs sees this a small but significant way to support the community that has supported them since 1955.
There will be three primary collection points for non-perishable food stuffs: Bill Jacobs Cadillac/Chevrolet/Mazda/ Mitsubishi, Bill Jacobs Kia/Subaru and Bill Jacobs Chevrolet Plainfield.
There will be food drop-off stations at each of the showrooms. Donations will be accepted daily during business hours and will be placed in a “collection vehicle.”
From 9 to 11:30 a.m. each Saturday there will be a “drive-up” drop-off point at 2001 W. Jefferson St. and in front of the Plainfield Bill Jacobs store. Customers will be allowed to drive up, have their food stuffs collected and remain in their vehicles.
Each customer making a donation will receive a Bill Jacobs’ “Free Ride” scratch-off coupon good for discounts on several service maintenance items.
