Diner retirement party

ELWOOD — Bob and Lou Watson, owners of Watson’s Diner & Pub in Elwood, are selling the diner and retiring after 15 years in business. A retirement party is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday at the diner, 115 E. Mississippi. Past employees are invited to attend. The couple’s 54-year business career also included a New Lenox ice cream/sandwich shop, Gallagher’s Pub in Manhattan, Watson’s Lawn Equipment in Joliet and two pizza places in Joliet and Wilmington.
