Nomination packets to be available for April 9 election

Nominating packets will be available starting Tuesday for the April 9 election for school boards, fire district boards and park district boards.
Candidates may file petitions from Dec. 17 through Dec. 24.
All forms and additional candidate information may also be downloaded from the Illinois State Board of Elections website: www.elections.state.il.us/.
Area districts offering election packets include the following:
Lockport School District 91 (Milne-Kelvin Grove Schools): 808 Adams St., Lockport; four seats are up for election.
Channahon School District: 24920 S. Sage St., Channahon; four seats are up for election; 815-467-4315.
Joliet Township High School District: 300 Caterpillar Drive, Joliet; three seats are up for election; 815-727-6970.
New Lenox Fire Protection District: 261 E. Maple St., New Lenox; two six-year terms are up for election; call Kathy Yunker at 815-463-4500.
Lockport Township High School District: 1323 E. Seventh St.; four seats are up for election.
Chaney-Monge School District: 400 Elsie Ave., Crest Hill; four seats are up for election.
Joliet Park District: 3000 W. Jefferson St., Joliet; three seats are up for election.
Village of Elwood: 401 E. Mississippi Ave., Elwood; village president and three village trustee seats are up for election.
Plainfield School District: 15732 Howard St., Plainfield; four seats are up for election; contact Charlotte Ward at 815-577-4016 or cward@psd202.org.
Troy Township: 25448 Seil Road; supervisor, highway commissioner, assessor, clerk, collector and four trustee seats are up for election; 815-744-1968.
