Romeoville school looking for used Halloween costumes

School seeks costumes

ROMEOVILLE — The Ecology Club at A. Vito Martinez Middle School is looking for donations of gently used Halloween costumes to be used in the group’s Halloween Costume Swap.

Donations may be dropped off during normal school hours now through Oct. 12 at the school, 590 Belmont.

The costume swap will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at the school. Community members and their children are invited to stop by and pick up their free “recycled” Halloween costumes.

Senior celebration set

ROMEOVILLE — State Rep. Emily McAsey, D-Lockport, will hold her annual Senior Celebration from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the Romeoville Recreation Center, 900 W. Romeo Road.

The celebration will include representatives from more than 30 state and local organizations and service providers who will provide free health screenings, consumer protection tips and other information to seniors. The event will include free refreshments, an awards ceremony and entertainment.
