Emergency grant funding available for nonprofits

Will County has been chosen to receive $362,261 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.

The local Emergency Food and Shelter Program Board of Directors, chaired by Michael Hennessy, president and CEO of United Way of Will County, will determine how the funds awarded to Will County will be allocated.

Public or private voluntary not-for-profit organizations interested in applying for funding need to contact Hennessy at 815-723-2500, or info@uwwill.org, by Oct. 10.
