Local dentists will offer free services

JOLIET — Free dental services for those in need will be offered Oct. 5.
Dr. Farai Kambasha of Rock Run Family Dentistry and Dr. Uzma Hatia of Essington Family Dental and their team will provide the free dental services to those who may not otherwise receive basic or routine dental care.
The service will be available to people 12 and older.
The event will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at Rock Run Family Dentistry, 692 Essington Road, Suite B.
The free dental services will include cleanings, extractions and fillings. It is limited to one service per person.
One-third of Americans are living without dental insurance and current economic conditions leave little room to afford dental procedures. Without events like Free Dentistry Day, dental care simply isn’t an option for many uninsured people.
Kambasha and Hatia said they view Free Dentistry Day as an opportunity to fill a need for dental care in the community.
Appointments will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 50 people. Call 815-730-8256.
