Rialto sets comedy film fest

JOLIET — The Rialto Square Theatre has expanded its programming of the Rialto’s Last Laugh Comedy Festival to include a comedy film festival, featuring the five funniest movies of all time as ranked by the American Film Institute.
Films include:
1. “Some Like It Hot,” 1958, directed by Bill Wilder
2. “Tootsie,” 1982, directed by Sidney Pollack
3. “Dr. Stangelove: How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb,” 1964, directed by Stanley Kubrick
4. “Annie Hall,” 1977, directed by Woody Allen
5. “Duck Soup,” a 1933 Marx Brothers film directed by Leo McCarey
Movies ranked 2-5 will be viewed at 7 p.m. Oct. 22-25 at USF, 500 Wilcox St. “Some Like It Hot” will be shown at 3 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Rialto.
